Target Arm Achieves Vehicle-to-Vehicle Drone Launch & Recovery While Moving

Autonomous vehicle-to-vehicle adds new vision for last mile delivery

by Target Arm; April 27, 2022

Target Arm Inc. announces an industry-first vehicle-to-vehicle drone launch and recovery capability while moving. In mid-April, Target Arm successfully demonstrated multiple vehicle-to-vehicle drone flights with fully autonomous recovery while moving. This autonomous capability opens entirely new use cases for drones with moving vehicles, such as last mile delivery with packages. Potential vehicles include, but are not limited to, trains, buses, trucks, airplanes, SUVs, and even cars.

Target Arm's CEO & Founder, Jeffrey McChesney stated, "I'm so proud of our team demonstrating this new vision of autonomous vehicle-to-vehicle drone launch and recovery with Tular, while on-the-move. Both commercial and military use cases will increase dramatically once users understand they can launch and recover drones from any moving vehicle, and now between them. Imagine a mobile sorting vehicle, such as a package delivery semi-trailer, that launches drones with packages directly to local delivery trucks – and bypassing the static sorting facility and loss of time. The ROI and increased consumer satisfaction are substantial."

By gathering a collective group of experts in the industry to share successes and challenges facing the market, Cirtronics continues to be an example of how a company can support the greater good ethically and productively.

“We’re deeply committed to our suppliers, partners, and the industry as a whole,” says David Patterson, Cirtronics President and CEO. “We began over 40 years ago building boards.
