Sonalysts, Inc. COO and NMC Board Member, Milt Stretton, will present a workshop-style webinar for all NMC members and guests on Monday, May 11, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) that has the potential for transition to production contracts with Federal Agencies and commercially. Through competitive awards-based programs, SBIRs and STTRs enable small businesses to explore their technological potential while providing a roadmap toward increased profitability through larger production and commercialization efforts. By including qualified small businesses in the nation’s R&D arena, high-tech innovation is stimulated and the United States gains entrepreneurial spirit as it meets its specific research and development needs.

This workshop-style webinar is not just another that covers the basic tenets of the SBIR and STTR programs. While that information is useful and available in several on-line venues, companies find themselves struggling to win Phase I and II awards. They also find themselves unable to adequately propose to all of the work in any one topic. Sonalysts has been participating in the SBIR and STTR programs since 1988. Recently they adapted their bid process to make better use of the 60+ day period from topic release to the proposal submission deadline. The result of these simple changes doubled the company’s win rate.

In this workshop-style webinar, Milt Stretton, Sonalysts’ President and COO, will guide attendees through:

  • recent changes in the SBIR and STTR programs,
  • staged activities designed to reduce the strain of proposal development,
  • teaming requirements and strategies, proposal staffing strategies, and
  • lessons learned from his years of writing, winning, and executing these types of projects.

This valuable information is an asset to any business owner or marketing professional interested in entering these programs or upgrading their existing system for working on these programs.
