Tour Your Advanced Technology Center

Shared by CCAT

Tour our state-of-the-art laboratories where you can see and experience the latest in Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Design, Automation and Metrology technologies. Hear from our technology team as they walk you through the capabilities and applications of these innovative manufacturing technologies.

In Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing). We will feature various technologies for producing both plastic and metal parts. This includes cutting-edge metal fabrication methods such as Directed Energy Deposition, exemplified by machines like the Optomec LENS 850R, DMG MORI LASERTEC 65 3D hybrid, and the HRAM Flex cell. We also have metal Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) systems, such as the Markforged MetalX, as well as metal Binder Jetting technology represented by the ExOne Innovent+. Additionally, we’ll be presenting a range of 3D printers suitable for various applications, from entry-level to industrial grade, for producing plastic (polymer) components. We will also be showcasing the Ingersoll Tool Masterprint robotic cell, a six-axis robotic print cell capable of printing continuous carbon fiber.

In precision machining, we will demonstrate advanced 5-axis milling and turning processes using the state-of-the-art Mazak Variaxis 630-5X-II-T machine.

In automation and metrology, we will showcase technologies such as: Collaborative and Industrial Robotics (Mitsubishi MELFA Assista, ABB IRB 140, Kuka KR60), Structured Light Scanning (M3DI Variscan and GOM ATOS Scanbox 5108), X-Ray and CT Scanning (NSI X5000), Hexagon Absolute Arm 7-Axis, Thermographic Inspection (Thermal Wave Imaging ThermoScope 3), Sensofar S Neox 3D Optical Profilometry system and Sensofar S Neox Five Axis 3D optical profiler.

This experience is designed to provide manufacturing companies, incumbent workers, educators, and college students with a general understanding of technologies in additive manufacturing, precision machining, automation and metrology, and composites.

We kindly request that you allocate 90 minutes for the tour to ensure you have ample time to explore and learn about these cutting-edge technologies.
